I completed the 12 Week Challenge earlier in the year finishing just before Easter. I lost a total of 6.3kg, 27cm which was 9.05% of body weight. 

For me my goal was to improve my fitness as I had problems with my arms and hands.  Because of the pain I was in I stopped exercising which resulted in loosing fitness and gaining weight.

 Cathy was able to tailor the exercises to what I was able to achieve.  I was thrilled with the result and surprised and happy that I got second in the challenge.

“For many years I have struggled with my weight. Repeated episodes of fad diets, weight watchers, gym programmes and dieticians have failed to provide any lasting success. Recently, after 6 months of colds, flu and eventually pneumonia, I had reached almost 106kg and was feeling very low.
Appealing to my competitive nature, my wife suggested I enter a 12 week weight loss competition with FIT BEYOND 50. Cathy was my PT for the programme. So I had one weekly PT session with her as well as one weekly Circuit Class with Andrew.
Cathy’s support, encouragement, advice, expert training and total professionalism combined with Andrew’s enthusiasm to get my best effort, resulted in my losing 16.1kg and 57.9cm (15.28% body weight) and winning the 12 week competition.
First prize was another 12 weeks of weekly PT and Circuit sessions which supported my efforts to maintain my weight loss and in fact I lost a further 2.5kg and 2.1cm. Thanks to Cathy and Andrew, my fitness has improved out of sight. I have not had so much as a sniffle this year and feel very positive about both my image and my fitness level. I can now get up and down Mt. Beerburrum three times without stopping!!!”

I found the eating plan simple to follow and I have incorporated part of this plan into my normal way of eating.

I know my body can do more than I thought with the PT sessions and I loved challenging myself with the Cardio and HIIT training.

Andrew and Cathy are very knowledgable and professional at what they do and support and guide you throughout the challenge.

I lost 8kg in weight and 40cm measurement lost .

3 years ago I took the first step through the doors of Fit Beyond 50. I had gone to other gyms in the past but since moving to Bribie I was looking for something a little different. I found my “Little different” with Andrew and Cathy.
The circuit classes with Andrew are challenging but fun at the same time. The atmosphere is always happy and welcoming.
The friendships I have made since joining Fit Beyond 50 are quite unique and ones I doubt I would have made at any other establishment.
Just recently I completed my first 12 week challenge with awesome results. Results I could not have achieved with the guidance, support and constant encouragement from my personal trainer Cathy. As The old saying goes – you get what you pay for. Cathy’s Personal training sessions are not the cheapest however if you are serious about achieving your goals, Cath makes every cent worthwhile. My goal is weight loss and Cathy’s influence is well and truly with me week-in and week-out beyond my 45min PT session. Cathy has not only outlined what foods I should be eating but also teaches me about nutrition so I can make healthy choices on my own. She has made programs for me to follow while at home and regularly monitors my weight and body measurements. I was overweight and diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic I was started on tablets. My wife was already seeing Cathy and I had seen how much her body shape had changed so I went to see her. After 3 months of seeing Cathy once a week and being given one of her nutrition suggestion plans (I saw a Dietician about my diabetes and she agreed this was a healthy food plan to follow for my diabetes) my medication was halved. It has now been about 7 months and my medication has now been quartered. My doctor said if I continue as I am I will not need any medication.

Prior to joining Fit Beyond 50 I had had 3 years of Personal training sessions in the local gym. I always used to dread when my personal trainer would take me to the weights room for two reasons …. One , they would always make me lift weights that were too heavy for me, which would end up in me being extremely sore or injured, and two , I hated having other people watch me doing this and struggling .
